Worms and viruses are similar in some ways because they both make copies of themselves but the key difference is that the worms don’t require the infected program to activate.

 5. Trojans

It comes into the action when the file containing the virus is executed Example –Vienna virus, Win64, etc.

It deletes the information contained in the files that it infects. And it makes your file useless once they have been infected. Example – way, trj.reboot, etc.

4. Boot Sector Virus

Also called the master boot sector virus its infected your hard disk in the bootstrap and it's a replica itself. Example – Monkey, NYB, stoned, etc.

5. Mocros Virus

It is created by using an application or program and when you open the file it will be executed if it's infected with a ppt file, would file, .xls file, etc.
